Effective February 12, 2026 · Last updated February 12, 2026
This policy explains what information Mailcrush collects, how it is used, and the choices you have when using our Gmail triage service.
1. Who We Are
Mailcrush is a read-focused Gmail client that helps you triage your inbox with grouping, bulk actions, and unsubscribe tooling. When you connect a Google account, we access Gmail data only to provide these features.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the service:
- Google account profile data such as your email address, name, and profile photo.
- Gmail metadata including message IDs, thread IDs, sender details, subject lines, snippets, labels, and timestamps.
- Message content when required for specific features, such as storing email body text to extract subscription or billing details.
- Application data you create, including custom groups, sync settings, and unsubscribe history.
- Basic technical data (for example, IP address, device, and browser type) that may appear in server or hosting logs.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide inbox grouping, bulk actions, and unsubscribe workflows.
- Sync message state so actions (read, archive, labels) stay accurate.
- Generate subscription insights when you enable those features.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
- Improve performance and reliability of the service.
4. Google API Data Use
Mailcrush’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google data to provide Mailcrush features and do not sell it or use it for advertising.
You can revoke Mailcrush’s access at any time through your Google Account permissions page.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (hosting, databases, and analytics) under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal or regulatory authorities when required to comply with law.
6. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your Mailcrush data by contacting us, or revoke Google access to stop further collection.
7. Security
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices
- Disconnect Mailcrush via your Google Account permissions page.
- Update your settings or delete data by contacting us.
